THEY/THEM

Jip is a multidisciplinary maker whose work spans film, theater, language, and visual arts. As co-founder of ‘De Wilde Raat,’ they collaborate with Ringer to create homes for wild social bees and share knowledge about these vital pollinators. Jip’s creations are sharp, poetic, and visually compelling, often transcending traditional boundaries through collective collaborations while maintaining their distinctive voice. Their analytical, precise, and passionate approach is defined by a unique perspective and bold use of color.
Jip sees art as a powerful tool to confront issues like violence, inequality, and exclusion, envisioning a world that can be far more beautiful. They create art as an intervention for social change, whether to be beautiful, ugly, or simply to exist.
At home, Jip bakes all the bread we enjoy and excels at organizing dinners and gatherings, bringing people together with the same creativity and passion they bring to their art.
